'Good Morning America' presenter Robin Roberts has confirmed that she is a lesbian on her Facebook page.
The ABC anchor, who is recovering from a bone marrow transplant, wrote on her social networking account that she wanted to thank her long time girlfriend, Amber Laign, her entire family and friends as they prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together, CNN reported.
The breast cancer survivor asserted in her post that she is at peace and filled with joy and gratitude at the moment and she is grateful to God, her doctors and nurses for her restored good health.
The 53-year-old TV broadcaster also thanked her sister, Sally-Ann, for being her donor and giving her the gift of life.
Roberts added that she grateful for the many prayers and well wishes for her recovery and she encouraged everyone to reflect on what they are grateful for too.
