Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Saturday said that the government would take strict action against the two hospitals for refusing to admit a dengue patient.

"We will probe the matter and the culprits would be taken to task. We are issuing notice to both the hospitals," Jain told ANI.

"It is very unfortunate that this is happening in a big city like Delhi where a patient is denied admission in hospitals," he added.

Jain further said that the government would ask all the hospitals in the national capital not to refuse any patient with dengue.

According to reports, a seven-year-old boy was denied admission in two hospitals in Delhi, claiming that all their beds for dengue patients were full.

The child was later admitted to Batra Hospital, where he breathed his last after undergoing treatment for a day. The parents of the child committed suicide after the death of their only child.

The police recovered a suicide note written in Odia, which read, "It is nobody's fault. It is our decision.
