M.L. Shanmukh, Director (Human Resources) of Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has been conferred the 'Distinguished Fellowship' of the Institute of Directors (IOD) for the year 2015-16.
Shanmukh received the Certificate of Distinguished Fellowship from Justice M N Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India, at the Silver Jubilee function of the Institute of Directors held at Bengaluru on August 10, 2015. Dr. K Radhakrishnan, former ISRO Chairman, was present.
Shanmukh has been Director (HR) at BEL since 2004.
Before his elevation to the Board of Directors of BEL, he worked with leading companies like CONCOR (Container Corporation of India, Ministry of Railways) and KELTRON (Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd).
He has travelled widely in the course of his work and has wide experience in the field of human resources.
