Extending his wishes to the government and people of Congo on the eve of their National Day, President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed hope that the ties between both sides would strengthen further in the coming years.
"I am confident that the warm and cordial bilateral relations between our two countries will be further strengthened in the coming years to the mutual benefit of our peoples," said the President.
While greeting the President of Congo, Denis Sassou N'Guesso, he said, "It is great pleasure that I convey warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the Government and people of the Republic of Congo on the occasion of your National Day."
Congo will be celebrating its 56th Independence Day from its colonisation from France on August 15, 2016.
