Indian men have beaten Spain 55-27 in the Kabaddi World Cup while the women's team got over Kenya in an easy 56-21 victory.
The men's team has their next match with Kenya on December 5 while the women's team would take on United States on December 7.
While the men's section has twelve nations participating in, the women's section has eight teams in the draw.
The event was inaugurated by Punjab's Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka.
