Joss Whedon is now facing a lawsuit from a writer, who claims that the 2012 meta-horror film 'The Cabin in the Woods' was taken straight from his book.

The writer Peter Gallagher claims that he registered a book with the Writers Guild called 'The Little White Trip: A Night in the Pines,' which came 5 years before the movie.

As per Gallagher, the film has 25 similar scenes to his work, like there are five friends (three males, two females), aged 17-22, and in the book, the girls are named Julie and Dura, but in the film, Jules and Dana.

Each takes place at a cabin in the woods and each has a twist where you learn the characters are being manipulated and filmed as players in a real-life horror show.

Gallagher is seeking damages in excess of 10 million dollars.
