Juan Pablo Galavis has apologized for his remark that a gay 'Bachelor' star wouldn't be a good example for the kids watching the show.

The latest 'Bachelor' of the ABC's hit reality show took to Facebook to say that his comment was taken out of context and if one listens to the entire interview, they will see that there's nothing but respect for gay people and their families, Us Magazine reported.

The 32-year-old footballer added that he has many gay friends.

The controversy started after a reporter had asked Galavis if he thought featuring a gay bachelor on the series would be a good idea.
