United States Secretary of State John Kerry has reportedly hit out at Russia by saying that it has lied "to my face and the face of others on many different occasions" about its activities in Ukraine.
While addressing a U.S. Senate Appropriations subcommittee on Tuesday, Kerry claimed that Kremlin is engaged in "the biggest propaganda exercise" that he had witnessed since the height of the Cold War, reported News24.
He argued that Russia has consistently furthered "misrepresentations, lies, whatever you want to call them" about its activities in Ukraine.
Moscow has consistently denied backing rebels in the war in east Ukraine, which has already killed more than 5,600 people and displaced a million.
The conflict erupted in April, a month after Russia annexed the mostly Russian-speaking Crimean Peninsula.
