Li Na battles through to book fourth round berth at Oz Open

Chinese ace Li Na has battled Czech Lucie Safarova in three gruelling sets in their third round clash at the Australian Open to book a fourth round berth with a 1-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 victory on Friday.

The Chinese fourth seed, a finalist last year, rallied from a set down to set a match point through a tiebreak to win the game within two-and-a-half hours on another hot Melbourne day.

Reports mentioned that Li set up a clash with Russian 22nd seed Ekaterina Makarova for a place in the quarter-finals.
