Bottom placed Leicester showcased a stunning comeback against Liverpool to level the score 2-2 at Anfield, impeding the Rodgers' men to advance towards the top four.

Veteran skipper Steven Gerrard netted two controversial penalties to give the team a strong 2-0 lead before the half time, which appeared to have set Liverpool on course to victory.

Making a resilient comeback, David Nugent and Jeff Schulupp of Leicester struck two stunning goals to level the score in a pulsating game at Anfield.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson said that it was a pulsating game as they tried to win it, nearly did. He added that he was proud with how his players dealt with the disappointments and they were exceptionally good throughout the game, the BBC reported.

Currently, Liverpool are seven points behind by fourth-placed Southampton in the Premier League table.
