Maharashtra: IPS officer Deven Bharati to head ATS

state government on Wednesday appointed senior IPS as of the state's (ATS).

Bharati, a 1994-batch officer, was promoted to of Police (ADGP) from Police's Police.

In April 2015, Bharti became the city's of police (law and order)and was the longest serving on the post.

Bharti had investigated several high-profile cases, including the 26/11 terror attack and J Dey's killing.

He is also credited for breaking the backbone of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen in the state.
