Melanie Griffith upset with 'stupid and superficial' Hollywood

Melanie Griffith has reportedly slammed Hollywood for giving her "stupid and superficial" opportunities.

She expressed her frustration with the industry in an interview with Fox as part of her promotional efforts for 'Dark Tourist'.

The 56-year old American actress said that she can now empathize with actresses who complained about not getting decent projects when they turned 50, Huffington Post reported.

Griffith, wife of Antonio Banderas, added that Hollywood is all about youth and beauty for women and it is nearly impossible for a woman her age to get a decent gig.
