Andy Murray continued his rich vein of form as he swept aside Kei Nishikori to advance to the final of the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

The Britain number one overcame fourth seed Nishikori 6-3, 6-0 in a semi-final contest that lasted just 65 minutes, the BBC reported.

Murray will now take on world number one Novak Djokovic, who defeated Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 6-4, in the summit clash.

With the win, Murray will replace Roger Federer as world number two in Monday's new ATP rankings.
