Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not yet accepted India's invitation to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.

The Foreign Office rejected the reports that were circulating on various Indian media outlets that the invitation extended to Sharif for May 26 ceremony had been accepted.

According to Dawn News, Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said no decision had yet been finalised vis-a-vis the visit.

Aslam said the invitation extended by the Indian side had been received and the prime minister house had been notified in this regard.
