Former England international Paul Gascoigne, popularly known as Gazza, reportedly left golfers in shock after he tried to drive off from his first tee and crashed his buggy.
Gazza had asked to join the group after turning up at the course in Bournemouth. He appeared unsteady as he tried to drive off from the first tee, then he set off on his motorized buggy, veered into a ditch in the rough on the first fairway and overturned.
Players and staff rushed to help Gazza and took him to the clubhouse before calling a cab. Golfer Ben Morgan said that the former England international teed off and was really confused about his ball but they helped him.
Morgan said that Gazza drove off and then put his buggy in a ditch, rolling the buggy and causing all mayhem. He added that this guy needs serious help, and soon he looked like he could be dead in a week.
A spokesman at the club said that Gazza turned up with another person and wanted to play a bit of golf. He said that they gave him a buggy and the next thing they knew the buggy had crashed.
The spokesman said that they went to help Gazza out and he just said sorry for crashing it, adding that he wanted to carry on and they said no and told him to go home and chill out for a bit.
Gazza returned several hours afterwards and managed to play a few holes. He later appeared naked at the door of his luxury flat at nearby Sandbanks and tried to headbutt a reporter when asked about the golfing incident, the report added.
