NPP protest over NIT Srinagar issue

The National Panthers Party (NPP) on Wednesday staged a protest over the ongoing unrest at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar.
"Strict action must be taken against the offender sunder the law who have indulged in anti-national activities. We demand protection for NIT students," NPP chairman Harsdev Singh told ANI here.
There was unrest in the NIT campus for a second time yesterday. After outstation students, expressing a sense of insecurity, attempted to leave the campus. This led to a confrontation of sorts and police had to resort to a Baton charge in which some persons were injured.
