Continuing his criticism of Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Sunday said that number of families under BPL has increased under Narendra Modi rule in Gujarat.

"Number of families under BPL has increased under Modi rule in a developed State like Gujarat. Another example of Gujarat Model of Development," Singh tweeted.

"Modi Acolytes would again respond the way they have been trained to give Galis but these are authentic statistics from Planning Commission," he further tweeted.

Digvijay Singh had earlier said that Gujarat has one of the highest per capita debt liabilities.

"Gujarat Govt has highest per capita Debt Liability which means every citizen of Gujarat has more debt to pay than citizen of any other State," Singh had earlier tweeted.

"Modi has the guts to say " Meine Gujarat ka karz utar diya ab Desh ka karz utarna hai" Another indicator of Gujarat Model of Development !," he further tweeted.

The Congress leader further went on to say, "Would Modi Acolytes pl respond? Yes they would with more "Galis" No issue. Gujarat Model of Development must come in public domain.
