The most popular boys' name in Britain is Oliver, rubbishing the recent claim made by a survey saying that it was actually Muhammad.
According to website BabyCentre, the UK's top baby names of 2014 hailed a new era in Arabic names, claiming that Mohammed rose 27 positions to claim the number one spot, the Daily Star reported.
This was based upon combining all possible spellings for Mohammed, including Muhammad and Mohammad, unlike the Office for National Statistics, which lists variations on spellings and found that in the same data Muhammad actually comes 15th, Mohammed comes 23rd, and Mohammad comes 57th.
