Pak Army Chief discusses regional security with Japanese envoy

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday met Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai and discussed matters of mutual interest with focus on regional security at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

The envoy appreciated efforts and sacrifices of Pakistani people and army against terrorism, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.

He also expressed his Government's desire to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in all fields.

General Bajwa thanked Ambassador Kurai and expressed hope that Japan will continue to play a positive role towards peace and stability in the region.
