Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the funeral of Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew on Sunday.
The government had earlier decided to observe National Mourning on March 29 as a mark of respect to Yew, who was also the first prime minister of Singapore.
The national flag will be flown at half-mast throughout the country and there will be no official entertainment today.
Yew, who transformed the tiny island outpost into one of the wealthiest and least corrupt countries in Asia, died on March 24. He was 91 years old.
