Cutting across party lines today, political parties rapped neighbouring Pakistan for its latest ceasefire violation which resulted in the loss of life of one paramilitary soldier and left seven injured.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI "Vaidik should be sent back to Pakistan to Hafiz Saeed for a discussion. Pakistan should be shown the power, and now, the time has come."
Congress leader Ajay Shukla called the ceasefire violation as unfortunate, he said, "Pakistan is daily committing ceasefire violations. Our jawans are dying daily. This is the most unfortunate thing. Our government is just looking at it and is not doing anything."
Earlier today, one Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was killed and seven others, including three BSF personnel and four civilians were injured in cross-border firing in the RS Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The BSF jawan reportedly died of a bullet injury to his shoulder. ANI reports that attempts were made to rescue him, but the heavy firing prevented it, and three more got injured.

The injured have been admitted to a government hospital in Jammu and a hospital in R S Pura.
This is the third ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the month of July itself. Last month Pakistan violated the ceasefire five times along the Line of Control (LoC) and IB in Jammu region in June. In April-May there were 19 incidents of ceasefire violation along the LoC .
Last year atleast 12 jawans were killed and 41 injured in the highest number of ceasefire violations (149) and firing by Pakistan troops on forward posts, civilian areas and patrolling parties along Indo-Pak border.
