The 27-year-old actor said that it's this strange fetish that attracts him to the opposite sex, Contactmusic reported.
The 'Twilight Saga' actor told Portuguese magazine, Activa that the essence doesn't necessarily have to be of an expensive perfume as it probably has something to do with pheromones.
He added that everyone is subconsciously attracted to the smell of the person they like.
Pattinson's ex- girlfriend, Kristen Stewart had claimed in 2012 that she was in love with her boyfriend's smell and he was with hers.
