Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday urged the people to elect the Congress to realize their aspirations while campaigning for Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.
Gandhi said Samajwadi Party (SP), which rules Uttar Pradesh and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), which is in the opposition in the state, could not fulfil the aspirations of people.
"It is not a small dream it is a big dream. The parties of UP (Uttar Pradesh) such as the Samajwadi party, the BSP and the BJP can't fulfill your dreams. Only the Congress party and its partner can fulfill this dream," he said in Mathura.
He also promised the people that Congress-led government's priority would be to clean up River Yamuna.
"Yamuna is your life line. Our endeavour is to clean it up. We had a partnership with Japan and sent funds but the UP government has not started the work. If our government is elected, we will implement this project to clean up the Yamuna," he added.
