Reese Witherspoon has blamed her divorce with husband Ryan Phillippe for a downfall in her career.
The Academy Award winning actress, who filed for divorce with Phillippe in 2006, said in a interview that was a tough year that followed and she spend a few years just trying to feel better, Fox News reported.
Witherspoon and Phillippe have two children, 15-year-old daughter Ava and 11-year-old son Deacon and the duo cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce.
The 38-year-old actress starred in some dud movies at the box- office post her divorce and then started making her own movies.
Witherspoon added that she was at a point in her life where she could make 20 more movies but she want to make 20 more movies that matter to her.
