RiRi joins pal Cara Delevingne in sci-fi 'Valerian'

Rihanna has joined her close pal Cara Delevingne in Luc Besson's epic 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.'

Produced by company EuropaCorp, the upcoming fantasy film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Pierre Christin and Jean Claude-Mezieres, E! Online reports.

The 56-year-old director took to his Instagram page to share this news, along with a barrel of exclamation points and a smiley face.

The upcoming sci-fi flick also stars Dane DeHaan and Clive Owen among others and is likely to hit theaters on July 21, 2017.
