Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly requested the Miami police to drop charges against a young fan who hugged him during a pre-season game in America.
According to Metro.co.uk, 20-year-old Ronaldo Gjorka, a Real fan, had entered the pitch during the Spanish giants against Chelsea in America over the summer and promptly hugged the Portuguese, following which the police dragged him away, arrested and charged him with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
The report mentioned that Gjorka is in danger of getting expelled from his college and deported to his native Albania if convicted.
However, Ronaldo has stepped forward to help Gjorka by writing a letter to the Miami authorities, in which he said that even though he 'understood' their position and the 'importance of enforcing rules and law', he requested them to reconsider this decision and dismiss the two criminal charges against Gjorka.
