Salvage operation to retrieve sunken Bangladesh oil tanker yet to begin

The operation to pull out a capsized oil tanker from the River Shela in the eastern Sunderbans area is yet to begin.
The vessel sank three days ago.
Two rescue vessels, from Chittagong Port Authority and Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), were expected to arrive to carry out the salvage operation, reports the Daily Star.
According to reports, the owner of the sunken vessel is trying to retrieve it with privately hired vessel.
