ANI Dubai

Two judges in Saudi Arabia could be fired from their job for breaching the strict rules of their profession which bans the use of social media networks.

The two judges, from Jeddah and Riyadh, reportedly used microblogging site Twitter and an investigation committee found that the judges failed to abide by the policy that banned judges and magistrates from participating in all forms of written, audio and visual media.

According to Gulf News, the ban on using the public domain is aimed to protect the nature of their profession and uphold the independence and sovereignty of the judiciary.
