Security beefed up in Assam ahead of Republic Day

Security has been beefed up in upper Assam to ward off any untoward incident in the run up to Republic Day celebrations.

The Assam Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have been deployed in all sensitive areas and are on the vigil in all vulnerable areas of the state in order to prevent any attempt to sabotage the Republic Day celebrations by any militant groups.
