Senior PDP leader Tariq Hameed Karra joins Congress

Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday joined the Congress in presence of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Karra had submitted his resignation from the Lok Sabha in September, which was accepted by the Lok Sabha Secretariat in November last year.

Reportedly, Karra resigned alleging the PDP-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance in the Valley as implementing only the "RSS agenda.
