Taking exception to the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi questioning the performance of the Central Government during its last six months in office, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Saturday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for ending price rise in the country.
"During an election rally in Jharkhand, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had asked what the government has done in the last six months. In the last six months what our government has done will be told, but first give an account as to what the Congress has done in the last sixty years. After formation of (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi's government, after formation of BJP-led NDA government the first thing that has happened is that it has ended price rise," Shah told at a gathering here.
"During the Congress and DMK's rule did the petrol or diesel prices came down?" he asked and added that in the last six months since the new government came to power atleast ten times petrol and diesel prices has been reduced thereby helping the people to save at least a thousand rupees.
