The cast and crew of upcoming Bollywood psychological thriller, 'Chehere
Manisha Koirala, who plays the lead role, "My experience while working on this film has been great. We are trying to create the feel of a period film and it's been a great experience".
Koirala plays a veteran actress in the film who has a bitter relationship with her sister (played by actress Divya Dutta), a poetess. The movie shows a clash of ideas and perspectives over who from the two directs the plot for a silent black-and-white era movie in a palace.
"I play the role of a poetess while she (Koirala) plays an actress. There is rivalry between us two. It's a very entertaining relationship and shooting was fun', said Divya.
The name of the movie literally translates to 'Faces' and is a period drama based in the 1950s that revolves around the life of a retired silent era actor.
The film also stars actors Jackie Shroff and Gulshan Grover alongside actresses Hrishita Bhatt and Arya Babbar.
Directed by filmmaker Rohit Kaushik, 'Chehere: A Modern Day Classic' will hit theatres in India on August 28.
