Teaser clip of 'Star Wars Rebels' animated series released

Disney has unveiled the teaser clip of its new original animated series 'Star Wars- Rebels'.

During a panel at WonderCon in Anaheim, California, executive producer of the film Dave Filoni, and Vanessa Marshall, the actress behind the voice of rebel lead character Hera, revealed a short clip of the animated series, the Verge reported.

According to IGN, Filoni said that he wanted to capture the essence of 'Star Wars Episode IV- A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back', and the series will be more in line with the films than 'The Clone Wars' as the emphasis will be more on a core group of rebels.

 

The series will debut this fall with a one-hour special on Disney XD.
