Three more people were arrested in connection with a land dispute which claimed four lives following a clash between Jats and Dalits in Dangawas village of Rajsthan's Nagaur district.
According to reports, the arrested individuals were produced in the Nagaur district court where they were sent to two days of remand in police custody.
The police have stated that they have arrested four people in connection with this case while six others are being questioned. Eight others wanted in the case are absconding.
Earlier on Sunday, the state Transport and PWD minister Yunus Khan had visited Dangawas village, where he met the representatives of both the groups and assured them of fair investigation.
On Saturday, National Commission for Scheduled Castes chairman PL Punia had also visited the Dangawas village. Punia reportedly criticized the district administration for handling the matter in an irresponsible manner.
