The TMC Government in West Bengal has reviewed the flood situation in the state with representatives of other political parties this week, and it has been decided to take all recommendations onboard to ease the impact of the calamity.
More than 70 percent of West Bengal has been affected by floods, which have claimed about 100 lives.
The all-party meeting was addressed by West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee.
So far, two all-party meetings have been held on the flood situation.
The estimated loss from floods is being pegged at Rs.21,000 crores.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi last week and sought flood-related financial assistance for her state from the Center.
Banerjee has also announced a compensation of Rs.200,000 for families of the deceased.
