The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday confirmed that it will send a three-member delegation to express solidarity with the students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune.
"Three member TMC delegation will visit FTII, Pune tomorrow to express solidarity with students and listen to them," TMC leader Derek O'Brien told ANI.
The FTII students are on a strike demanding the removal of TV actor and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman.
Academic activity at the FTII is at a standstill with students being adamant over Chauhan's removal.
