Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working president M.K. Stalin on Tuesday hit out at the Tamil Nadu government over the dengue menace.

Lashing out at the ruling AIADMK regime, the DMK leader said the government is more concerned about RK Nagar bribery case and Gutka scam than addressing people's suffering.

"The government is more concerned with RK Nagar bribery case, Gutka scam and running the government. How will they address people's suffering," Stalin told the media.

Earlier, the DMK leader had urged the state governor Banwarilal Purohit to direct the state Chief Secretary to take appropriate action to curb the dengue menace.

Stalin's statement comes days after Tamil Nadu Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan said 35 persons died due to dengue in the state.

Radhakrishnan had on Sunday said that since January this year, 10,032 fever cases were reported in Tamil Nadu, out of which, 35 people died of dengue.
