Food ordering marketplace for travellers in transit TravelKhana has confirmed its popularity among smartphone users by recording maximum number of food orders generated through its mobile app.
The online aggregator had recently bagged an outstanding number of five lakh+ food orders since October 2015.
The company acquires 50 percent of orders from its mobile app followed by 20 percent through its mobile site, 25 percent orders through the call center and 5 percent through its website.
The escalating number is an outcome of the platforms recent revamp that has enabled ease of ordering in an offline mode.
Among the top routes from where a maximum number of food orders through the app have been received consists of Mumbai, Patna, Delhi-Mumbai, Chennai/Bangalore and others.

Mobile app technology is rapidly picking steam today and there is a rapid uptake in ordering food through apps. TravelKhana has integrated its services with the IRCTC website, making it possible for travellers to get access to lip-smacking food prepared by various restaurants on route selected and verified by TravelKhana.com personnel across various stations.
The entire process is managed by a completely automated workflow that sends real-time reminders to passengers as well as restaurants so that the entire process can take place in a seamless and swift manner.
