Bhansali Engineering drops after dull Q1 outcome

Bhansali Engineering Polymers lost 5% to Rs 128.50 at 11:58 IST on BSE after net profit declined 0.65% to Rs 16.77 crore on 10.17% fall in total income to Rs 201.98 crore in Q1 June 2018 over Q1 June 2017.

The result was announced on Saturday, 14 July 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 65.44 points, or 0.18% to 36,476.19.

On the BSE, 2328 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 88,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock opened with downward gap, sliding by the maximum 5% daily circuit and remained locked at the 5% level at Rs 128.50 so far in the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 224.40 on 10 April 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 67.85 on 12 July 2017.

 

Bhansali Engineering Polymers is a petrochemical company. The company is engaged in the manufacture of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resins and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) resins.
