Bharti Infratel slipped 0.12% to Rs 289.95 at 10:19 IST on BSE in volatile trade after the company announced Q2 result after market hours yesterday, 27 October 2014.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 59.65 points, or 0.22%, to 26,812.55
On BSE, so far 55,668 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 83,139 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock was volatile. The stock hit a high of Rs 299.25 and a low of Rs 289.10 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 321.55 on 18 September 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 149 on 29 October 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 27 October 2014, falling 0.22% compared with 0.48% rise in the Sensex. The scrip, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 11.91% as against Sensex's 2.4% rise.

Bharti Infratel's consolidated net profit rose 67.7% to Rs 465.20 crore on 11.1% increase in total income to Rs 3043.80 crore in Q2 September 2014 over Q2 September 2013. The results are as per International Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP).
Bharti Infratel's consolidated earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 13% to Rs 1220 crore in Q2 September 2014 over Q2 September 2013.
Bharti Infratel's total towers stood at 84,303 units in Q2 September 2014 from 82,476 units in Q2 September 2013.
Commenting on the company's Q2 performance, Akhil Gupta, Chairman, Bharti Infratel said, The Telecom Industry is entering into a phase of growth led by robust data uptake. The auctions in February 2014 gave lot of confidence and stability to the operators and a testimony to the fact is addition of close to 4000 tenancies in this quarter for Bharti Infratel, an increase of over 100% as compared to same period last year. Bulk of the incremental tenancies are on account of rollout of data networks and we believe that the upcoming spectrum auctions in February 2015 will further accelerate this trend.
