The Mainland China's stock market declined on Wednesday, 23 September 2015, after worse than expected preliminary factory data intensified concerns about the pace of the world's second-biggest economic growth. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 2.19%, or 69.73 points, to 3115.89 points. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, declined 0.83%, or 14.46 points, to 1736.44. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.04%, or 0.73 point, to close at 2077.99.
