Coal India records 10% decline in both production and offtake in August 2019

Coal India announced the production and offtake performance (provisional) of the company and its subsidiary companies for month of August 2019.

Coal production achieved stood at 34.77 million tons in August 2019 compared to 38.78 million tons in August 2018, recording a decline of 10.3%. For the period April - August 2019, actual coal production stood at 210.23 million tons, lower by 2.8% compared to corresponding period of previous year.

Coal offtake stood at 40.47 million tons in August 2019 compared to 45.15 million tons in August 2018, recoding a decline of 10.4%. For the period April - August 2019, coal offtake stood at 240.57 million tons, lower by 2.5% compared to corresponding period of previous year.
