Consumer Durables stocks slip

Consumer Durables stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index decreasing 213.76 points or 0.79% at 26679.7 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Titan Company Ltd (down 1.6%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 1.46%),Blue Star Ltd (down 1.43%),Symphony Ltd (down 1.41%),Voltas Ltd (down 1.29%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (down 1.12%), and Bajaj Electricals Ltd (down 0.65%).

On the other hand, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 3.04%), V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.9%), and Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.35%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 41.42 or 0.1% at 40087.63.

The Nifty 50 index was down 3.75 points or 0.03% at 11873.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 67.37 points or 0.5% at 13625.42.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 18.34 points or 0.39% at 4706.49.

On BSE,1307 shares were trading in green, 1101 were trading in red and 183 were unchanged.
