Eight core industries production rises 3.5% in November 2018

Cumulative growth during April to November 2018-19 stood at 5.1%
The index of eight core industries comprising 40.27% of the weight of items included in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) has posted 3.5% growth in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative growth during April to November 2018-19 stood at 5.1%.Coal production (weight: 10.33%) increased by 3.7% in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 9.0% during April to November 2018-19 over corresponding period of the previous year.
Crude Oil production (weight: 8.98%) declined by 3.5% in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative index declined by 3.6% during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
The Natural Gas production (weight: 6.88%) increased by 0.5% in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative index declined by 0.7%during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
Petroleum Refinery production (weight: 28.04%) increased by 2.3% in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 5.3%during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.

Steel production (weight: 17.92%) increased by 6.0% in November 2018 over November 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 3.7% during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
Cement production (weight: 5.37%) increased by 8.8% in November 2018over November 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 14.2% during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
Electricity generation (weight: 19.85%) increased by5.4%in November 2018over November 2017. Its cumulative index increased by 6.7% during April to November 2018-19 over the corresponding period of previous year.
