Net outflow of Rs 5110.40 crore on 12 July 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 5110.40 crore on Friday, 12 July 2013, higher than net outflow of Rs 1313.30 crore on Thursday, 11 July 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 5110.40 crore on Friday, 12 July 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2887.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 7997.60 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 688 crore into the secondary equity markets on 12 July 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2887.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 2199.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 282.41 points or 1.44% to settle at 19,958.47 on that day, its highest closing level since 30 May 2013.
There was an outflow of Rs 5798.40 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 12 July 2013.
FIIs have sold shares worth net Rs 5400.70 crore in July 2013 so far (till 12 July 2013). FIIs sold shares worth Rs 11026.90 crore in June 2013.
