FMCG shares tumbles for 7th day

The FMCG index was down 0.75% at 30930.85, extending its losing streak for seventh consecutive session.

The Nifty FMCG index has lost 4.93% or 1,605.05 points in seven trading sessions.

Godrej Consumer Products (down 1.53%), United Breweries (down 1.34%), Emami (down 0.89%), Dabur (down 0.81%), Tata Global Beverages (down 0.8%), McDowell Holdings (down 0.75%), ITC (down 0.64%), Colgate Palmolive (down 0.64%), Britannia (down 0.52%) and Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Health Care (down 0.17%) were top losers from the FMCG pack.

The Nifty FMCG index has lost 1.81% in last one month. The index rose 7.26% in the past three months.
