Net outflow of Rs 209.48 crore on 20 June 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 209.48 crore on Friday, 20 June 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 435.61 crore on Thursday, 19 June 2014.

The net outflow of Rs 209.48 crore on Friday, 20 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4120.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 4329.63 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 210.12 crore from the secondary equity market on 20 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4119.21 crore and gross sales of Rs 4329.33 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 96.29 points or 0.38% to settle at 25,105.51 on that day, its lowest closing level since 5 June 2014.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 0.64 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 20 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.94 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.30 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13708.81 crore in this month so far (till 20 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 59513.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 20 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
