Combined net inflow of Rs 129.23 crore on 22 and 23 October 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought total shares worth a net Rs 129.23 crore on Wednesday, 22 October 2014 and Thursday, 23 October 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 129.23 crore on 22 and 23 October 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3814.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 3685.20 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 70.44 crore into the secondary equity market on 22 and 23 October 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3755.63 crore and gross sales of Rs 3685.19 crore.

 

The market was open for a special trading session on 23 October 2014 to mark the start of Samvat 2071. The S&P BSE Sensex gained 63.82 points or 0.24% to settle at 26,851.05 on that day.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 3370.74 crore in this month so far (till 23 October 2014). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 4248.75 crore from the secondary markets in this month so far (till 23 October 2014). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 5102.52 crore in September 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 4137.79 crore from the secondary equity markets in that month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 80066.90 crore in this calendar year so far (till 23 October 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 71233.20 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far.
