Hindalco Industries Ltd gained 1.68% today to trade at Rs 202.65. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 0.93% to quote at 9780.8. The index is up 8.61 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Tata Steel Ltd increased 1.64% and Steel Authority of India Ltd added 0.88% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 17.61 % over last one year compared to the 16.2% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 15688 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 4.22 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 237.7 on 03 Dec 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 171.25 on 26 Aug 2019.
