Fuel product sales moves up 5.1% in April-June 2018
India's fuel product consumption or sales galloped 8.7% to 17.99 mt in June 2018 over June 2017. Diesel sales jumped 7.7% to 7.33 mt, petrol 14.9% to 2.38 mt, petcoke 12.7% to 2.21 mt, bitumen 28.6% to 0.58 mt and naphtha 10.9% to 1.07 mt. The consumption of ATF also improved 13.1% to 0.68 mt, lubes/greases 18.9% to 0.32 mt, LPG 2.6% to 1.93 mt and light diesel oil (LDO) 26.1% to 0.04 mt. However, the consumption of kerosene declined 12.1% to 0.31 mt, fuel oil 2.8% to 0.51 mt and others -2.2% to 0.63 mt in June 2018.Consumption or sales of fuel products increased 5.1% to 54.22 mt in April-June 2018 over April-June 2017. Sales of diesel increased 3.4%, petrol 8.4%, LPG 9.6%, naphtha 10.0%, and bitumen 15.7%. Consumption of ATF moved up 13.4%, petcoke 2.5%, others 6.5%, lubes/greases 5.2% and LDO 35.7%. However, the consumption of kerosene declined 13.2% and fuel oil 10.4% in April-June 2018.
